Caramelised fig Torrija

Here is mine.

Get a very nice loaf of white bread, take the  crust out and cut it into thick slices. Make  sandwiches with the slices, using fig jam.

Warm up a good amount of fully fat milk, sugar and cinnamon, once the mixture is cool enough soak the sandwiches in it, for a about

two hours.

After two hours, take the sandwiches out of the milk …. carefully, and cut them in half. Cover them in caster sugar and then caramelise

them with a cooking torch.


Easy one! Now enjoy it!
